Apart from these, there are organizations operating in different Islamic countries, in different Western countries, especially in England and America. In our country, there are organizations such as the Food and Needs Inspection and Certification Research Association, the short name of which is GIMDES, the World Halal Food Association, and the Health Safety and Halal Association, the short name Halal-Der.

In order to establish a common standard in the Islamic World, to ensure certification in accordance with these standards and to solve the problem of accreditation, studies have started at the Standing Committee of the Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) meeting of the Organization of the Islamic Conference held in Istanbul in 2007 within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). With the establishment of Islamic Countries Standards and Metrology Institute (SMIIC) on 02.10.2010, this work was transferred to SMIIC. Thanks to SMIIC standards, an important step has been taken in the implementation of common standards instead of different standards in Islamic countries.
